Our home is located in Three Oaks, MI- just a few block stroll from The Journeyman Distillery. 10 minutes to New Buffalo, Union Pier, Sawyer, Lake Michigan beaches, & breweries and wineries. And we got a brand new hot tub!
Along with The Journeyman, Three Oaks has curated boutique shopping, great dining, wedding locations, and galleries, and it’s got two great theaters- The Acorn and The Vickers.
The space
Our house had generously sized rooms, with 2 living rooms, a dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. We have 3 spacious bedrooms upstairs- 2 King beds and a Queen. This is a two-story home with all 3 bedrooms upstairs, the full bathroom with a walk-in shower upstairs, and the full bathroom with a tub on the main floor. A large screened porch spans the width of the front of the house to enjoy the sunset on upholstered rockers, or eat at the 8-person dining table. Our back deck has more dining space, a grill, Adirondack chairs and a sunken hot tub. There are 3 steps up in the back to enter and 4 in the front.
Other things to note
We lovingly updated this 1930's Craftsman home, but as with all vintage homes there are quirks like occasionally squeaky floors, marble with patina, and low stairway clearances. We love these features but want to make clear this is not a modern build.
